In July 2025, the volume of IT exports surged by 5.5%, reaching $555 million. This generated an additional $29 million for Ukraine’s economy compared to June and marked a $10 million increase relative to July 2024, reflecting a 1.8% growth.

As reported by Delo.ua, this information comes from the Lviv IT Cluster, which cites data from the National Bank of Ukraine.

Over the first seven months of this year, cumulative export revenue from IT services totaled $3.8 billion, showing a marginal rise of $13 million (0.3%) compared to the same period in 2024.

Ukraine’s total service export revenue for July stood at $1.35 billion, exceeding June’s figures by $67 million (5.2%).

Stepan Veselovsky, CEO of the Lviv IT Cluster, noted that IT service exports in July showed positive momentum, ranking as the second strongest monthly performance this year after April. Despite cautious projections for 2025, he expressed cautious optimism about the sector’s trajectory.

“If current trends persist, we anticipate stable export levels by the end of 2025, potentially matching last year’s figures. This underscores the industry’s resilience amid wartime and global challenges, solidifying its role as a cornerstone of Ukraine’s economy,” Veselovsky remarked.

He added that to sustain sector growth and stimulate business activity, the cluster intends to organize IT Arena—the nation’s largest tech conference. The event aims to foster innovation, partnerships, and ecosystem development.

Notably, the workforce across Ukraine’s 50 largest IT companies has shrunk by 20,000 employees over three years of war. Teams at NIX and Grid Dynamics Group have halved, while EPAM reduced its Ukrainian staff by 31%.
