“The European Union has confirmed its readiness to open the first cluster, which gives new momentum to our negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. We have done absolutely everything for this progress, and I am grateful to everyone who has helped and everyone who is working for our state,” emphasized the head of state.
Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is prepared to open six clusters and expects to achieve more results for integration into the European Union this summer. “At least from our side, there will be no delays. And it is very important that our partners also feel the full significance of this process,” Zelenskyy underscored.
As Ukrinform reported, last week the Council of the EU officially initiated the process of formally opening cluster 1, “Foundations,” in the accession negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova to the European Union.
The Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the EU is convening Intergovernmental Conferences on accession with Ukraine and Moldova for Monday, June 15, to open cluster 1, “Foundations.”
