As of July 13th, Ukrainian agrarians have threshed over 3.1 million tons of the new harvest grain. The 2026 harvest has commenced in all regions except Chernihiv. This is reported by Kurkul.com, based on data from the Ministry of Economy.
According to operational data, at the reporting date, the early grain harvest has been gathered from 763 thousand hectares (6% of projected areas). The average yield is 4 tons per hectare.
Last year, by the same date, Ukraine had threshed 2.6 million tons of early grains with an average yield of 2.85 tons per hectare.
By crop type, the following have been threshed:
- Wheat — 1.11 million tons from an area of 280.7 thousand hectares, with an average yield of 3.9 tons per hectare;
- Barley — 1.8 million tons from an area of 417 thousand hectares, with an average yield of 4.4 tons per hectare;
- Peas — 156.4 thousand tons from an area of 64.6 thousand hectares (19%), with an average yield of 2.4 tons per hectare.
Odesa region is leading in collection pace, with the region’s agrarians being the first to start the 2026 harvest campaign. As of the reporting date, 1 million tons of grain have been threshed in the oblast.
Concurrently, the leaders in early grain yield at the start of the harvest are:
- Lviv region — 6.79 tons per hectare;
- Ternopil region — 6.58 tons per hectare;
- Khmelnytskyi region — 6.56 tons per hectare;
- Bukovyna — 6.55 tons per hectare.
Additionally, agrarians in 10 oblasts have begun harvesting rapeseed. As of the reporting date, the crop has been harvested from 76.9 thousand hectares, yielding 149 thousand tons of seeds with an average yield of 1.94 tons per hectare.
