Ukrainian forces respond to calls to target blogger Andrew Tate, who boasted in Russia with videos on a tank

The Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine responded to calls on social media to target the controversial American blogger Andrew Tate, who visited Russia and boasted about videos taken in a trench and on a tank.
– Okay, folks, we see all your tags, and we understand. But. Being an obnoxious person does not make one a lawful military target under international law. Climbing onto a tank for internet fame is not enough to become a combatant, — the SBS wrote in their English-language account on the X platform.
The Unmanned Systems Forces added that “climbing onto a tank for internet influence is not enough to become a combatant.”
– Do something that truly qualifies – then we can talk. Until then, we will reserve our drones for actual military targets, — the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted.
The SBS observed that Tate’s videos “clearly had several things thought out to make accountability difficult,” as, unlike other men, he was not wearing military uniform with a Russian flag, and generally his “uniform does not look Russian.”
– If he ever appears on the screens of one of our operators, the decision will be made quite quickly. However, for now, he seems to be staying deep in the rear and only appearing for photo opportunities, — the Armed Forces of Ukraine summarized.
Andrew Tate visited Russia in early June, during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The blogger was greeted with the song “Motherland,” but he never appeared at the forum itself.
Even Russian propagandists were outraged by Tate’s arrival. For example, Ekaterina Mizulina, head of the “League of Safe Internet” and wife of singer “Shaman,” noted on her Telegram channel that Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan are accused in three countries (Romania, Great Britain, and the USA) of creating an organized criminal group for human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation and sexual violence, including against children.
