Together again and in Russian once more: Potap and Nastya perform as a duet for the first time in 10 years

Potap and Nastya Kamenskikh performed at Laima Vaikule’s “Rendezvous” festival with Russian-language hits. This is the first concert of the duo “Potap and Nastya” since the announcement of a hiatus in 2017.
On the red carpet in Jurmala, the couple (or not a couple) appeared in bride and groom attire. When asked if this meant Potap and Nastya were remarried, the producer replied that it was a wedding, “until Laima divorces” them.
– Journalists are constantly marrying us off or divorcing us. This is our latest wedding until Laima divorces us. At midnight, this strawberry will turn into a pumpkin, – said Potap.

Journalists asked if Potap and Nastya were planning to give concerts in Ukraine, to which they joked.
– Oh, we’ll return to Kyiv when the metro in Kyiv costs 8 hryvnias. We’ll travel between stations, we’ll do a metro station tour! We have an idea to perform at the Olympic Stadium. All tickets will be 8 hryvnias, – said Potap and Nastya.

Despite Kamenskikh promising in 2022 not to sing in Russian anymore, she broke her word once again. Old Russian-language hits such as “U nas na rayone,” “Vse puchkom,” “Ne para,” and “Chumachechaya vesna” were heard from the stage.
During the performance, Potap addressed Russian artists Alla Pugacheva and Maxim Galkin, who were among the audience.
– Alla Borisovna, welcome! How wonderful you look! You’re increasingly resembling Kristina Orbakaite. And where is this young man? Ah, here he is, I didn’t recognize him! Max, you know, you’re the handsome one of all of Instagram, — said Potap.
This year, only three Ukrainian artists performed at Laima Vaikule’s “Rendezvous” – Potap, Nastya Kamenskikh, and Olya Polyakova. The festival is criticized in Ukraine for featuring so-called “good Russians.”
On May 1st, Potap and Nastya Kamenskikh announced their divorce after seven years of marriage. On May 18th, they declared the revival of the duo “Potap and Nastya” with a Russian-language repertoire.
Due to the artists’ stance on language, their plaques were removed from the “Avenue of Stars” in Kyiv.
